ASPHYXIATION!
{{Basics}} Age: Six years Gender: Female Animal: Dolphin Species: Orcinus orca, the killer whale Sexual Orientation: straight. Alliance: why, DISSENTER, of course! Requested Rank: REGINA.
{{Appearance}}
Build: Sleek for her breed, but immensely bulky compared to most other marine animals, she holds a grace around her that is noticeable from even a far distance.
Appearance:
Generally slow and graceful, this creature holds an unspeakable, noticeable aura of mystery and elegance. This orca holds herself as if she is the queen of the world, infinitely more treasured than bottom-feeding scum like yourself. Upon first sight, any and all are quietly amazed by the beauty and magnificence of this animal. Cool, intelligent eyes follow the world around her with surprising alertness. A striking beauty encompasses her fine features. Her attractiveness is only intensified by the detached manner she regards everything with. A single battle scar mars her flawlessness. Her right pectoral fin is split cleanly in three roughly equal portions, and fringed with gray scar tissue. Somehow, this only adds to the appeal that oozes from every pore of her sleek body.
Scars: Right pectoral fin is split into three even (ish) slices.
{{Personality}}
Positive traits: Intelligent, charming (when she wants to be), Witty Negative traits: Aloof, Judgmental, Rude Likes/Hobbies: Ignoring others, Getting her revenge, Exploring ^^ Dislikes: Rudeness (hypocritical, I know), Obnoxiousness, Being pestered, Sharks Fears: Sharks. And death. Overall Personality:
Asphyxiation is easily described in two simple words: unforgiving and aloof. Her memory is strikingly keen, and she is in no rush to excuse rude remarks or cruel actions. She does not generally concern herself with others' plights, but takes a brutal obsession in the vindication of her own rivals. One does not need to do much but upset or offend Asphyxiation to permanently screw themself over. She is something like a politician. In all outward appearances, she is polite and cool, but secretly, she is plotting the demise of any who dare to oppose her. Certainly, she has earned herself quite a bad reputation. She, of course, takes no notice. Constantly being approached out of curiosity, this orca keeps up an endless tirade of composure.
Unsurprisingly, upon first meeting, this queenly creature will most likely act as if you do not exist. After you ensnare her into a conversation (a remarkable feat, if I may say) she will lighten up considerably. But, be aware, she has no real need for social interaction, and will probably make no attempt to further any relationship you may have with her. Behind the cool and distant mask, though, lies quite a different persona. Her emotions rage wildly, but she has been around long enough to know how to school her striking features into whichever expression she so pleases. The only crack in her armor of calm is her expressive, intense eyes. They do not respond so willingly to her efforts, though she is getting better every day. Be aware, she is formidable foe. But once you capture her attentions, you have earned yourself a considerably loyal ally.
{{History}} Family: Her mother and father both remain elusive, and it is unknown whether she ever had any siblings. History: Once upon a time, there was two orcas. They shared a mutual, all-consuming hate. Out of pure spite, the larger, stronger and ferociously violent male force-mated with the female. Asphyxiation is the product of that act, and was promptly abandoned. On her own, in some god-forsaken region of the North Pacific, she was almost certainly doomed for an early death. She let herself go with the current, which brought her near the shores of Alaska. Still going with the current (and half-dead) she was swept down to California coast, where a marine biologist promptly spotted her. The human was obviously surprised to stumble upon such a young orca (and so far from their normal habitat). The weak, starved killer whale was taken into a wildlife hospital.
Sometime later, the wildlife hospital deemed her able to return to her natural home. Asphyxiation, having been fed by hand all her life, did not know quite what to do when they released her. It took quite a long time for her to realize that she had to hunt for herself. And this was only with the help of a fellow orca. Her ally was an elder male killer whale, nearing death. The elder taught her the ways of the ocean, and where orcas were to remain (Northern Pacific/Arctic). Asphyxiation followed her guidelines with a reverence. This new regimen had Asphyxiation well-fed and happy. The pair remained together for a year or so. The elder left abruptly, then. Asphyxiation combed every place they had ever visited, and soon found his carcass. The smell of blood had spread and sharks had begun a feeding frenzy. Asphyxiation attempted to interfere.
This mistake nearly cost the young orca her life.
Unsurprisingly, the sharks turned on her. She fought valiantly, without shedding blood for quite a while. How had come about, she had no idea. The sharks' teeth were all razor sharp, and serrated and she was not nearly as agile as some of them. Alas, her luck ended. One particularly large shark grasped her pectoral fin and tore it cleanly. Blood gushed from the wound, and Asphyxiation would not be here to tell the tale had another killer whale not been in the area. He went by Kane, and was quite possibly the most enormous creature Asphyxiation had ever seen. The female orca was no small fry herself (20 feet), but Kane was at least 25 feet long. He brutally threw aside her attackers, and needed little to no assistance from his fellow pod members.
The pod took Asphyxiation in. She felt at home, but her fin was a constant worry. After a good three days, it had just stopped bleeding freely. It still re-opened after movement and was unbelievably painful. Asphyxiation was forced to stay behind with Kane as the rest of the pod moved on to somewhat warmer waters. Asphyxiation fell in deep love with Kane. Who didn't love a knight in shining armor? Asphyxiation may act like she has no emotions, but that's a big, white lie. Kane did not return Asphyxiation's affection, though. He regarded her as a little sister. Asphyxiation's heart still pined for him, though her mind recoiled from Kane's obliviousness.
Her injury continued to give her trouble. It became infected, and had begun openly oozing a disgusting mixture of blood and pus. The wound was getting infected, but Asphyxiation didn't seem to notice. Kane soon had to hunt for both himself and Asphyxiation. Eventually, sharks caught the smell of blood again. And again, Kane had to fight them off. Asphyxiation ended up leaving him. Kane was slowly deteriorating, trying to take care of himself and Asphyxiation.
By luck, Asphyxiation was picked up by the wildlife rehabilitation facility. Once there, they cared for her wounds. After months of physical therapy to help her regain control of her half-dead fin, she is finally ready to be released into the world of Atlantic Abyss, and when she is, she is immediately sucked into the Dissenters' pod. This pod may not fit her outward appearance of indifference. But, inwardly, this hot-headed she-whale thirsts for blood.
After being initiated and earning the general acceptance and respect of her fellow Dissenters, Asphyxiation slowly worked her way up the rank. As second in command, she nearly overthrew the Regina, issuing orders constantly. The former Regina of Dissenters was...unresponsive. Dissenters, being the violent creatures they are, ran the old Regina out, threatening death upon her return. Asphyxiation smugly accepted position of Regina, and is not afraid to flaunt this fact.
